Pokemon fans rejoice! Tomorrow, March 4, owners of the latest entries in the Pokemon series, "Pokemon Black 2" and "Pokemon White 2," and their respective predecessors, will be able to download an exclusive Meloetta, the melody Pokemon, from Game Stop stores nationwide. This is the first time the dual-type, dual-form Pokemon is being made available in the States, completing the American Pokedex, and adding some new variety to both personal and competitive play.
Meloetta, though a single Pokemon, penultimate in the Pokedex, acts as two distinct pocket monsters, touting both a Normal/Psychic (Aria) form and, a series first, a Normal/Fighting (Pirouette) form. The legendary Pokemon is able to switch between the two with the help of the move Relic Song which can be learned by taking your downloaded Meloetta to Cafe Sonata in Castelia City.
The event will only run for twenty days, closing its curtains on March 24, with Canada starting late on March 9. Until then, Trainers wishing to round out their Pokedex with Meloetta will have to bring their Nintendo DS, 3DS, or any enlarged or shrunken variant, to their nearest Game Stop, with a copy of "Black," "White," "Black 2," or "White 2," and select the "Mystery Gift" option after the start screen. Or they can do it from the parking lot like I usually do. There's no shame in wanting to catch 'em all.
