A short teaser video shows that the newest title appears to have technology that will actually get the most "Pokemon" character around to mimic your facial expressions. What purpose this will play in the game is still anyone's guess.
Japanese Broadcaster NHK released the teaser video with the promise that a full reveal will be presented on October 28.
In the teaser, it appears that the 3DS camera can actually capture your facial expressions and then have Pikachu actually display those emotions to a tee.
While most of the information that we have about the game is early speculation, some are saying that this could some kind of a successor to the Nintendo 64 title, "Hey You, Pikachu!" The game is in the very early stages of production as company president Tsunekazu Ishihara said work started this Summer.
Ishihara admits in the teaser video that he is worried about the game and thinks that if it bombs, excitement over the franchise's leading character could wane.
Nintendo appears to want to wring every last cent it can out of the "Pokemon"franchise. There are earlier reports that cite that a Wii U game might also be in development and some outlets have hinted that the two games might somehow be tied together.
While both games have the same basic characters at the heart of the story, it is not immediately obvious how this mystery Nintendo 3DS title and a possible Wii U game might tie together. Check out a short slideshow at the top of this page to see some screenshots from the teaser video.
