The Pokemon company unveiled a new, limited edition “Poke Ball” pattern for Vivillion to commemorate the launch of PokemonCenter.com, via the Global Trade Service, the game developer announced today on the "Pokemon X & Y" official website.

The level 12 Pokemon comes with the Shield Dust ability, which blocks the additional effects of attacks taken and the moves Gust, Light Screen, Struggle Bug and Stun Spore.

The "Poke Ball" Vivillion will only be available until August 12.

After the release of the “fancy” limited edition Vivillion earlier this year, the new “Poke Ball” edition of the bug Pokemon marks the 20th different variation in the game to date. With different variations depending on the weather and the geographic location of the user, Vivillion are often traded and collected among dedicated players of the series. Although it was available in France as a giveaway Pokemon earlier this year, this special Vivillion was not available in the wild in either “Pokemon X” or “Pokemon Y.”
