The 9th Annual Global Pet Expo (GPE), the Pet Industry’s Largest Annual Trade Show that is scheduled to take place this February, Wednesday the 20th, Thursday the 21st and Friday the 22nd at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida will reveal the hottest new pet products of 2013 with the Coveted “Best in Show” Awards up for grabs. One of those products that will present for the first time in the United States is the Doggee Waste Bag Holder which is currently stocked in Marks & Spencer in the UK and distributed throughout Europe. The Doggee Waste Bag Holder will be located at the Global Pet Expo in Booth #4046.
GPE is presented by the American Pet Products Association (APPA) and the Pet Industry Distributors Association (PIDA). It will be opened to thousands of buyers and media personnel. The show is open on the first two days from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. and on the last day from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Innovative pet products from all over the world that want to enter the pet market will be present at the trade show. Sixty-two percent of households just in the U.S. alone own at least one pet, so new products, the latest and greatest, are continually being sought. Some experts believe that the pet market could be in a state of maturity, heading for saturation, so the fact that the 2013 Show is expected to be one of the largest to date, this year could make or break the economic status of pet products.
The 2012 Show contained 238,000 net square feet of paid exhibit space with the highest post-show numbers. The totals included new product launches, the booths sold and the people in attendance.
This year’s Show will have over 900 companies in attendance. The capacity in which the vendors have to fill equals 11 football fields or roughly 30,000 square feet of space to be exact. Not only will the Doggee Waste Bag Holder be launched in the U.S., but more than 3,000 other product launches will also take place. About 150 of the companies this year will be first-time exhibitors.
The opportunity that all will have will be to either display or view the New Products Showcase; either the first to present or the first to own. Vendors will also be competing for the “Best in Show” awards. Those planning to attend must enter their goods in the New Products Showcase in order to win. The awards are the most coveted of awards presented at the Show. The winners will be broadcasted at the Third Annual New Products Showcase Awards.
Independent retailers, distributors, mass-market buyers and other qualified professionals are all welcome to register for the Global Pet Expo. This show is the most important gathering of buyers, manufacturers of pet products and international attendees in the United States in conjunction with being open to the public.
