Have you ever walking or driven by an old landmark and wondered about the site’s history? More importantly, have you wondered if ghosts from the past might still be wandering around inside? If so, be sure to catch Paranormal Around the Region.
This show hosted by Mark Larocque, head founder of Da Guys Paranormal Team and Trevor Bishop, co-founder, has begun airing on Rogers TV in Brantford, Stratford, Guelph and the Kitchener/Waterloo regions in southern Ontario. The Kitchener residents take viewers along as they explore locations that have compelling histories and are also known to be paranormally active. They attempt to uncover the ghostly goings on at each site, as well as relate first-person reports of haunting experiences.
“We delve into the paranormal world within our region and talk about the great rich history that our small towns and larger cities have to offer that some may not even be aware of,” they noted. “We then tie in the history of these locations with local ghost stories and even do paranormal investigations on the show.
This weekend - September 14 and 15, 2013 - Larocque and Bishop will be visiting the old Coronet Hotel in Kitchener. You can catch this show at 11 a.m., 4:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. both days.
The show, which launched on September 4, will also include some special guests such as Wanda Hewer, a psychic medium and paranormal consultant, as well as founder of Ghost Hunters of Guelph and Stratford psychic Sally Diane.
“People like Wanda whom graciously allowed us into their locations to film for our episodes of Paranormal Around The Region, such as; the owners of EJ's Bar in Baden, the staff at the Queen's Inn Hotel in Stratford and psychic Sally Dianne for Ghost Stories from the Magic Box, one of our teams very haunted spots in Kitchener, the Old Coronet Hotel, to the workers at the old Babcox and Wilcox location, now known as Southworks Antiques in Cambridge and even a private residence in Brantford that has extreme paranormal activity going on at her location, have all welcomed us and told their stories in their own words on their episodes.”
Da Guys are also featuring some of the tools they use during their investigations.
“Watch for new paranormal tools that we will be bringing to you. At times, we will teach you how you can get your own EVP (electronic voice phenomenon) and about the classes of EVPs.”
Larocque and Bishop said they truly enjoyed filming of Paranormal Around The Region.
“Filming the show was a great experience” and allowed them “to meet a lot of new friends in our region. The process of completing our episodes to be ready for air was an exciting one, knowing that some of our local ghost stories will finally be told along with real life history of some well known locations in our region.”
No if you think the show is already interesting, you’re going to love this: on October 19 the public can join Da Guys on a real investigation.
“Still to come for the show, we are having a ‘first’ for our region, a paranormal event the public is welcome to attend and check out an actual haunted location! Paranormal Around The Region is hosting a public investigation at the old Coronet Hotel featured on our show.”
People will likely be clamoring for tickets to this investigation but only a limited number will be able to attend. The ticket price includes a seminar in which Da Guys will discuss previous investigations and show evidence of same, dinner at a different location, the public investigation and a live in-person séance by trained psychics.
