New Paltz schools lose phone service

The New Paltz Central School District issued this emergency press release today:

Superintendent Maria Rice on behalf of the school district expressed apologies to parents, students and community members who have unsuccessfully tried to contact staff in all school buildings by way of telephone over the past week. Due to outages beyond the control of the district, callers have not been able to get through to anyone for assistance. She said, “We apologize for the inconvenience, but we are at the mercy of
our provider to get the problems fixed.”
