Guillermo Del Toro is the man behind this film, and he has spoken out about the film in a new interview with USA Today. He said the following:
"The only movie I've done where I don't want it to end, frankly. It's really creating a world that's been shaped by two anomalies: the giant monsters and the giant robots we create to fight them."
Del Toro revealed that a sequel is already in the works for this film. However, another of his upcoming projects might be shelved for the time being. The Playlist revealed that Del Toro's take on Pinocchio might not see the light of day for quite some time on Monday. The report comes from a tweet by Del Toro's co-director on the film. He tweeted the following, according to The Playlist on Monday:
"Short to the point update on Pinocchio for those inquiring: It appears that this is not the right time for such a superior-adventurous flick."
Del Toro signed on to co-direct the film last year, and it has been four years since his last film was released to theaters.
Fans are buzzing about this film on social media. One fan said the following on Twitter recently:
I mean… #PacificRim is going to be awesome.
Scottsdale residents will be able to see this film at the Harkins Scottsdale Fashion Square 7 or at another local theater in the area once it is released.
