On October 9, 2013, a congregation of believers in Lander Wyoming became a particular church of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church (OPC) denomination. Meeting at the Carnegie Room at the Lander Library, the service lasted about two hours including exhortations to the body and the leaders to fulfill their respective duties toward each other.
The event was the official formation of Grace Reformed Fellowship OPC as well as the installation of the pastor, Phillip Strong and three ruling elders. This event marked the official formation of the church as a self-supporting and functioning body of Christ.
The service was conducted by a committee from the Presbytery of the Dakotas, the judicial body of which the new church is a member. Several other members of sister churches visited as far away as Denver.
It is a blessing from God to form local assemblies of believers together for mutual support. May they continue to be blessed and used for His glory.
