With the 31 to 28 win Sunday night over the Minnesota Vikings, the New Orleans Saints captured the National Football Conference title will advance to Super Bowl 44 in Miami, FL, against the Indianapolis Colts.
This is a marketing bonanza for Shreveport businesses!
Louisiana is a state that loves its celebrations and takes them very seriously. This the first time in franchise history the Saints have gone to the Super Bowl and the fans are not going to miss out on this chance to wage a serious, world class celebration.
A Shreveport retailer said today that he had sold out of everything in his store with black and gold. He anticipates 2 or 3 more shipments of goods later this week. Saints fans are feverishly readying themselves for the Super Bowl celebration and the black and gold are essential!
A nurse in one of the Shreveport hospitals said she had to have black and gold scrubs. Black and gold paint, dye, markers, chalk, pencils, and even crayons are rapidly disappearing from Shreveport shelves. The fans will not be denied!
A word to Shreveport retailers: move all your black and gold inventory to the front of your shelves! If you don't have any black and gold inventory, get some fast! If all else fails get some gold dye and dye caps and T-shirts in the family washing machine! This retail bonanza will put a serious dent in the recession for Louisiana retailers.
Act fast! Shreveporters will all be celebrating for at least 2 weeks ... more if the Saints win the Super Bowl!
