New Orleans Saints land at #4 in ESPN's first Power Rankings

As of Monday, August 8, 2011, there was exactly one month until the first kickoff of the NFL season when the New Orleans Saints would meet the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field. Not a bad opening match-up between the last two Super Bowl Champions. The question at hand though is are they still as good as the teams that won it all? Well, ESPN has released their first Power Rankings for the 2011 season and they say where they believe all NFL teams fall.

The New Orleans Saints are ranked fourth in ESPN's first Power Rankings poll behind the Packers, New England Patriots, and Philadelphia Eagles. Coming up right behind the Saints in fifth place are the Pittsburgh Steelers and then the next NFC South team, the Atlanta Falcons fall in sixth.

ESPN's NFC West Blogger Mike Sando said this in his little excerpt about the Saints and their high ranking:

"Saints will find out whether Reggie Bush was an underrated contributor after all."

While Power Rankings are mere opinions and not the be-all / end-all judge of how good a team is; it's still fun to find out exactly where your team ranks and what others think of them.
