The New Orleans Saints finished up practice on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013, and the good news is that the team is looking relatively healthy. There were only three members of the team that didn't practice at all and four that had limited participation, but everyone else was active and out there.
Defensive tackles Broderick Bunkley (calf) and Tyrunn Walker (knee) were two of the players that sat out practice on Wednesday. They both left Sunday's victory over the Falcons early. Safety Isa Abdul Quddus wasn't active for the game due to an ankle injury and he also sat on Wednesday.
Four players participated in Wednesday's practice in a limited fashion, but none of them are expected to miss this Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That can change though, as the week goes on.
Those that were limited on Wednesday:
- CB Patrick Robinson - foot
- LB Curtis Lofton - knee
- DE Glenn Foster - ankle
- CB Jabari Greer - back
A number of other players took part in full practice even though they have been dealing with some lingering injuries.
- OG Jahri Evans - back
- WR Marques Colston - foot
- LB Martez Wilson - elbow
- LB Junior Galette - hamstring
Wilson was inactive for the Saints' victory over the Falcons, but it appears as if he will be ready for the second game.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had two players sit out their Wednesday practice and they were DB Michael Adams (knee) and TE Tom Crabtree (ankle). CB Rashaan Melvin, RB Erik Lorig, and OG Carl Nicks all fully participated.
