Yesterday, January 6th marked the first official day starting the celebration of Mardi Gras in New Orleans. January 6th has become known as Twelfth Night because it is the end to the countdown of the 12 consecutive days following Christmas day. There is no better way to celebrate the memorable season of Mardi Gras in New Orleans other than getting the spirit going this week. We will be looking most forward to these events this Mardi Gras season.

ROCK N ROLL MARATHON SERIES

For all you health junkies out there, New Orleans has some cardio-lover options as well. This super fun event held in New Orleans benefits the American Cancer Society. This marathon and 1/2 marathon has live bands playing soul, rock n roll, and blues music along the route to help keep you dancing.
As far as the most anticipated part of it all? Well that is definitely the parades of course. Everyone that comes to New Orleans for Mardi Gras expect to see the handcrafted and designed Mardi Gras floats and themes each year. From celebrities like Justin Bieber to music legends like Harry Connick Jr, people flock to New Orleans to get a taste of this part of the year, local and superstar alongside enjoy the magic of the season.
