Sunday features the release of several recent family-friendly films: the 2013 adventure “Return to Nim’s Island” starring Matthew Lillard and Bindi Irwin, Disney’s 2014 animated Tinker Bell adventure “The Pirate Fairy,” and last year’s “The Smurfs 2” starring Hank Azaria, Neil Patrick Harris and Brendan Gleeson. Another family-friendly treat, 1996’s “Muppet Treasure Island,” also arrives that day.

Arriving on June 16th is the 2011 adaptation of “Jane Eyre,” starring Mia Wasikowska and Michael Fassbender. This version of Charlotte Bronte’s classic novel was directed by Cary Fukanaga, who would win acclaim with his direction of the HBO series “True Detective.”

The highlight for next week may be Spike Lee’s “Oldboy”, a remake of Park Chan-Wook’s incredible 2003 suspense thriller. Lee’s remake stars Josh Brolin as a man out for revenge after being released from years in captivity. Elizabeth Olsen, Sharlto Copley and Samuel L. Jackson also star.
