The Labor Day weekend kicks off with a pair of new streaming releases arriving today: “Jim Jeffries: Bare,” a Netflix original comedy starring the popular Australian comic, as well as the third season of ABC’s fairy tale drama “Once Upon a Time.” It’s just the start of a Labor Day weekend filled with titles new to Netflix.

August 31 brings “Space Warriors,” an updated version of the 80s film “Space Camp” starring Dermot Mulroney and Mira Sorvino.

This year, Labor Day falls on the first of the month, which means you can spend your day watching a plethora of films, from the great comedy “School of Rock” starring Jack Black, to the utterly bizarre 2011 film “Detention.” Also arriving are the 1993 John Candy-starring “Cool Runnings,” as well as Sam Raimi’s underrated film noir “A Simple Plan.”

September 1 also brings seasons 1-7 of the Showtime comedy “Californication,” starring David Duchovny as a womanizing writer. (Seven seasons?! Incredible.) Also arriving are the first 3 seasons of “Doomsday Preppers,” the reality show centered around survivalism, as well as the first season of the BBC police drama “Hinterland.”

On a poignant note, Labor Day also heralds the arrival of one of Robin Williams finest performances in “Good Morning, Vietnam,” directed by the legendary Barry Levinson.

The day after Labor Day brings the fifth season of “The League,” and the week wraps up on September 5 with season 8 of “Trailer Park Boys.”
