An exciting week of Netflix releases kicks off today with the thrilling 2013 film “All is Lost,” featuring Robert Redford as a man stranded at sea. The acclaimed film is notable for being nearly devoid of dialogue, relying on the legendary Redford’s performance to tell its story. “All Is Lost” was directed by J.C. Chandor.
Strange things are once again afoot at the Circle K, as the 1989 comedy “Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure” arrives today on Netflix streaming! Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter star as a pair of surfer dudes who access a time machine. More comedy arrives today in the form of season 8 of the hit Canadian comedy “Trailer Park Boys.”
September 7 brings what may be the most anticipated debut of the week, season 1 of the hit NBC drama “The Blacklist,” starring James Spader in a scenery-devouring performance as devious super-villain Raymond “Red” Reddington. One day, Reddington voluntarily surrenders at FBI headquarters, armed with a list of some of the worst villains in the world. The action-mystery series led to some of NBC’s highest ratings in years. Watch it exclusively on Netflix today.
September 11 also brings several high-profile releases, including “A Single Man,” a 2009 drama starring Colin Firth in an Oscar-nominated performance; “Dennis Miller: America 180,” the latest standup special from the conservative comic; the hard R-rated 2014 crime drama “Filth,” starring James MacAvoy as a sleazy corrup cop; and the 2013 psychological thriller “The Moment” starring Jennifer Jason Leigh.

Trailer Park Boys: Season 8
This wickedly funny mockumentary series follows the booze-fueled misadventures of Julian (John Paul Tremblay), Ricky (Robb Wells) and Bubbles (Mike Smith), longtime pals and petty serial criminals who run scams from their Nova Scotia trailer park -- when they aren't in jail, that is. But kudos to the lads for their persistence, even if their harebrained get-rich schemes involve growing pot right under the nose of ex-cop Jim (John Dunsworth).
