Sunday October 13th NJ Transit restored most service to all the Morris and Essex Lines west of Hoboken that have been removed since Superstorm Sandy destruction. 697 of the 700 original trains before the storm are now running. A New Schedule took effect Sunday.
The service changes include six additional trains on Morris and Essex Line to Dover (DL&W/EL Main Line) and additional trains added to the Montclair-Boonton Line to Hackettstown via Dover (DL&W/EL).
The Midtown Direct service on the Gladstone Branch (DLW/EL) will now use Push-Pull bi-level cars while single level Silverliner V MU's will remain on Gladstone-Hoboken service.
