Tecmo Koei released some new high-definition screenshots yesterday showcasing some of the weapons in Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge. Ryu Hayabusa will have several weapons in his arsenal including Dual Swords, a Lunar Staff that has a ball-and-chain connected to each end, and a Kusari-Gama (aka a Chain-Sickle). Ayane, Momiji, and Kasumi will all be playable characters in the upcoming game as well. All three female ninjas, also known as "kunoichi," will have their own techniques and Ninpo fighting styles.
Team NINJA also confirmed that Razor's Edge will include 100 Ninja Trials, the largest number of such challenges in franchise history.
Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge is slated for a North American release on April 2nd. It will be available on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 for just $39.99. A free demo is currently available to download on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace and PlayStation Network.
