New ‘Naruto Powerful Shippuden’ screenshots released (Photos)

Namco Bandai’s “Naruto Powerful Shippuden” is less than a month away from release and earlier today the publisher released a new set of screenshots for the anime/manga based Nintendo 3DS title.

“Naruto Powerful Shippuden” is a side-scrolling action/fighting game based on the “Naruto” spin-off series, “Rock Lee & His Ninja Pals”. Like the series, “Naruto Powerful Shippuden” has a more comical and over-the-top feel compared to the regular series, along with chibi-style character designs. Gamers will be able to take on the role of either Rock Lee or Naruto and play through two different action-packed storylines full of familiar characters.

The new screenshots from the game can be found in the slideshow up top. “Naruto” fans can look for “Naruto Powerful Shippuden” for the Nintendo 3DS in stores beginning Mar. 5, 2013. To learn more about the game you can visit the official page.
