New nail polish promises to prevent date rape

A nail polish startup announced Undercover Colors as a date rape preventative tool. The innovative polish changes color when exposed to date rape drugs like Rohypnol, Xanax, and GHB.

Bartenders have sometimes been involved in the scam, hiding what they do behind the bar, while working in cahoots with others. In other cases, particularly in college, women are advised to never leave a drink unattended at parties for fear of being slipped a mickey. Since it's so hard to know who to trust while out, the new nail polish empowers a woman to just dip her finger into her drink to know for sure that its safe.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention states that 1 in 5 women will experience rape in their lifetimes, A large portion, 37.4%, of the women surveyed, experience rape during the college years between 18-24.

The nail polish is, unfortunately, still in development. Undercover Colors seeks donations to continue development. And though the attached video mistakenly states that 1 out of 6 women are reaped in their lifetimes, music is a piano arrangement of "Mad World" by Tears for Fears, which is certainly perfectly selected for this kind of topic.
