Today a New Moon voids the horizon, pushing us to reflect on our internal quest for truth and faith in unseen forces. This New Moon is hiding in the shadows and asking for us to bring light to its meaning. This New Moon is energized by Sagittarius; the archetypal valiant archer. The New Moon can affect us a few days before and after its monthly cycle of completion. Sagittarian placement and movement within this month seems appropriate to explore and expand into on this New Moon as we are in the beginning of our holiday season. The sun and the moon influences are both in Sagittarius.
Sagittarius is the 9th sign of the zodiac. They are classified as a fire sign, the element that ignites our own inner workings to help shape and mold the person we came here to be. They are seekers, hunting toward personal and spiritual truths through a journey that includes passionate love affairs and positions of leadership. The number 9 holds the vibration of endings and beginnings. December is the final month of the year where tensions are rising to meet goals and planning for the coming year. This is also a month of grace in action and recognition for the Divine.
The New Moon pushes us to bring our individual light to a dark environment. This is the time when we reach deep to imagine the dreams not realized. Tonight we create goals for the upcoming Full Moon in Gemini, December 17, 2013. Both of the signs mentioned are grand communicators, spiritual seekers and full of educated surprises. Our intention is to explore the targets we visualize from the inside with steadfast curiosity, asking the question:
What truly guides us, faith or fear?
Faith is something that can only be gauged by our own medium. We can either be born into a cultural or religious paradigm and follow it as told or become archeologists uncovering our truths through carnal experience. Fear becomes a choice as well, to guide us and direct our decisions. Fear can feel more real and give rise to destructive patterns. Yet, pain is the precursor to internal growth; pulling us apart and making us look at the ugliness and obscurities of life’s lessons.
The power that shows up in our lives, the one we can share and create real change with, is in direct proportion to how we interact or react to fear when it shows up. One that uses faith is most likely to be gentler with fear as the reception of it becomes like a partnership with Source to complete an unknown task. Fear may still be present but the difference is that it only appears as a surface concern with deeper trust and drive for accomplishment coming from faith.
Faith restores our ability to believe that we are truly being taken care of by some higher power, especially when there is no one else there to hold our hand or give us advice. Faith edifies our lives and lessens our crutch to let fear get in the way of accomplishing goals, pushing toward our creative edges or just plain making excuses for “can’t."
When we are rich in spiritual connection, we can enjoy life more fully.
Sagittarius, the Golden Archer, points right at the heart of the void this New Moon pumped with fire burning from his internal faith in unknown forces. Call out to the Archer tonight and hear the echo of what faith is for us; identify it, explore and capture the essence of all that is.
