Should Bella (Kristen Stewart) choose Edward (Robert Pattinson), Jacob (Taylor Lautner), or herself?

The love story between an ordinary girl and a handsome "young" vampire, now spiced up with the presence of a teenage werewolf competing for the heroine's affections, has been talked about at any time and everywhere since the release of Twilight, the first in a series of four movies based on the books by Stephenie Meyer. And that will not change for at least a couple of years, since there are two movies yet to go, with the third one, Eclipse, currently in the making in Vancouver, Canada.
The movies have made young actors Kristen Stewart (Bella Swan), Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen), and Taylor Lautner (Jacob Black) the objects of millions of teenage fantasies, and the sudden celebrities have been trying hard not to crumble in front of a sometimes ridiculous amount of attention coming towards them from fans and media alike.
As if often happens with movie characters, and the relationhips between them, fans have been taking sides. That of course comes with the sporting of t-shirts and the exclaiming of eternal loyalties on blogs, forums, and similar online social outlets. Mostly, fans are either on Team Edward, rooting for Bella to choose the conflicted vampire who cannot bring himself to be with her because he fears he might succumb to his true nature, and bite her, and Team Jacob, conformed by those who think that Bella should go for her friend (and werewolf), who has always loved her, and will never hurt her by leaving her, even if it is for her own good.
However, there is one, very often ignored alternative. What about Team Bella? Does nobody think that the girl should just leave both boys, and spend some time with herself instead of letting her life and heart be tossed back and forth for the sake of conflicting, very life-threatening, teenage love affairs? As a teenage girl, should she not be taking the time to discover who she is, before she risks her life trying to convince someone to be in a committed relationship?
