This month's new moon falls at 21 degrees of Pisces on March 11, at 3:51 p.m. EST. Pisces is called the dreamiest of signs and this new moon holds the potential for all spiritual and creative endeavors as well as helping others.
This will also be the peak time of planets in Pisces: the Moon, Sun, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Neptune and Chiron. Now is the time for love and compassion to flow freely.
Pisces is considered the sign of the dreamer, so many will let their imagination soar and dreams come into the realm of your imagination and what you wish to make reality. Dreams may literally increase while you sleep over this period of time and you may find yourself in the grip of a dream that seems like reality.
Pisces is ruled by the planet Neptune and is the natural ruler of the 12th house of the unknown and the unconscious. Neptune is the most misunderstood of planets and rules religion, spirituality, creativity, cinema, psychics, dreams, the imagination, and compassion. It also rules addictions of all types, drugs and alcohol, lies and deceptions, and illusion, delusion and confusion, to name just a few.
It is important to recognize the things that hold you back from that which you dream of. The most important thing you can remember when dealing with Neptune is to question whether the dream just an illusion or can it be grounded in actual reality. Addictions take many forms: substances, people, being in love with love rather than the person, and sex to name a few. This too, is the realm of Neptune and Pisces.
Pisces is about compassion for others and for ourselves. Perhaps it is time to forgive yourself or someone else.
In astrology, we look for events that occur with planetary transitions and transits. As Mercury is retrograde, events connected to this new moon may delayed.
Mercury is at 8 degrees of Pisces, square Jupiter and Neptune. This can make for a beautiful moment, but things can get blown out of proportion on the other end and if someone tells you something that seems unlikely remember the old adage: if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
Enjoy the moment, and the weekend as we come into the energy of this new moon, because everything will start to shift next week in a big way as the planet of action (Mars) enters Aries. You may be surprised at just how fast things start to move forward.
The most perfect place to be on this new moon would be the ocean or the water, but beauty can be found everywhere and is in the eye of the beholder.
