Movie fans in Scottsdale are waiting for the release of "Monsters University" to theaters. On Wednesday, Feb. 20, Total Film shared several new posters and photos from the film. Check out all of the photos by visiting the slide show.
This film is a prequel to the first "Monsters, Inc." release. Sulley and Mike are both back for this new film, and they are being joined by several new characters, and these new faces are shown off in the new posters and images.
Boo was the character connected to these two in the first film, but it is not planned to see the character in her true form in this prequel because it is set before the pair met her. However, there might be a moment related to her in this new release. Dan Scanlon, the man behind the film, teased the following when asked about the possibility of a tribute to Boo, according to Stitch Kingdom on Wednesday:
"I can’t say anything about that, but there’s a bunch of new characters that we’re really excited about. There’s lots of fun cameos here and there, so… yeah, keep an eye out."
Fans are buzzing about the upcoming release of this film on social media. One fan said the following on Twitter recently:
just looking at the 2013 Summer movie line-up ... this is going to be an expensive summer. can't wait for #MonstersUniversity.
Scottsdale residents will be able to see this film at the Harkins Scottsdale Fashion Square 7 or at another local theater in the area once it is released.
