New mom Kendra Wilkinson: How I lost 25 pounds in 8 weeks

New mom Kendra Wilkinson has lost 25 pounds in 8 weeks thanks to portion control, a healthy diet and a sensible workout plan.

Wilkinson, 24, gave birth to son Hank Baskett IV via C-section Dec. 11 (Kendra's husband is NFL star Hank Baskett, 27).

Women who get C-sections are advised not to work out until 6 weeks post-partum, which makes losing pregnancy weight more difficult than usual.

But Wilkinson, an ex-Playboy model who has made a career out of flaunting her sexy bikini (and nude) body, was eager to regain her fit pre-pregnancy form.

SHE TOPPED 163 POUNDS

The 5'4" Kendra, who gained 50 pounds during her pregnancy, weighed 163 pounds at her heaviest.

Wilkinson slimmed down by doing 45 minutes of hard-core training and weight-lifting several times a week. For cardio, she alternated swimming and walking on the treadmill at an incline for 27-45 minutes.

Kendra, whose favorite body part is her legs, has also been doing lots of squats and lunges to firm up her lower body.

 'BEING HEALTHY IS A WAY OF LIFE'

Wilkinson, who works out with personal trainer Jesse Brune (who starred on the Bravo reality show Work Out), generally eats cereal or a high-protein smoothie for breakfast and has a granola bar as a mid-morning snack.

For lunch, she typically eat salads topped with tomatoes, cauliflower, broccoli and carrots.

Kendra, who doesn't eat seafood at all, enjoys grilled chicken with fresh vegetables for dinner. "I don't like steamed vegetables," she says. "I like them raw."

Wilkinson, who says portion control is key to losing weight, wants to slim down more, but doesn't weigh herself. "I don't own a scale, that would drive me crazy, especially after the baby," she says. "My goal is to look in the mirror and smile."

Kendra says looking at Pink's ripped physique motivates her.

"I'm going to hang up a bunch of pictures of Pink around the house to motivate me to get back in shape," says Wilkinson. "She has my fave body!"
