Jessica Simpson, who gave birth to her second child via C-section two months ago, said she gained "a lot of weight" and is struggling to slim down.
"It's very hurtful, especially when you're so emotional and going through all of these hormonal changes," Simpson told Us Aug. 28.
"I am just one of those pregnant women who gains a lot of weight. I have really big boobs. I have my curves. Even trying as hard as I did with [son] Ace, I still gained [a lot]."
Simpson, 33, said her second pregnancy (which was unplanned) was more difficult than her first, but she's fortunate to have a supportive partner in fiancé Eric Johnson, a former NFL star. Not only is Johnson, 33, a fantastic dad, says Jessica, but he makes her feel beautiful, no matter what her weight.
"Eric has always appreciated my body," said Simpson. "He makes me feel like I'm an incredible mom and a great lover and woman. He is beyond any father that has ever existed."
It's unclear whether Simpson will time her baby-weight loss to a lucrative diet endorsement like the $3 million Weight Watchers deal she landed after daughter Maxwell was born in 2012. Either way, her weight-loss journey will be heavily scrutinized as the months pass.
For now, Jessica is happy with her busy home life. "With two kids, we have our hands full, but every day is a new adventure," she said. "It's fun! I feel very at peace with being a mom."
