An abstract new poster for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay has debuted online, ahead of a limited distribution at San Diego Comic Con this week and the upcoming release of the first official full-length trailer for the movie.

The new poster is an artistic, abstract design that features the signature Mockingjay symbol in stark red, against a black and white backdrop that features the silhouette of an armed soldier and other symbols - including the icon of the Capitol, weapons designs, and a bar code.

A limited number of these posters will be distributed by Lionsgate at San Diego Comic Con, starting tonight. Those who are not attending Comic Con can enter to win one a signed copy of the poster online.

Surprisingly, Lionsgate will not be hosting a panel on Mockingjay during Comic Con - so the franchise's presence will likely be limited to displays at the studio's booth on the convention center floor. Smart Pop Books will also have some Hunger Games-related freebies for fans at their booth.

Smart Pop will be giving away a different Panem Companion district button each day (Districts 5-8 will be represented this year). Fans can also win all 4 of this year's buttons in a collectible bag at the Smart Pop Books booth (#4300). Two Hunger Games-related pieces will also be featured in the 2014 Smart Pop Preview, which is available for free while supplies last.

Meanwhile, after two propaganda-esque teaser videos, it seems Lionsgate is finally gearing up to unveil the official trailer for Mockingjay - Part 1. But the big reveal won't happen at Comic Con -- instead it will be taking place at select Best Buy stores this weekend.

Fans can find participating locations here. The Mockingjay trailer will be shown Saturday and Sunday at the Samsung Experience Shops found in select Best Buy locations. No doubt the trailer will soon thereafter be making an appearance online for mass consumption.
