Movie fans in Scottsdale are waiting for the release of Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, the fourth installment in the Tom Cruise film series, to theaters next month. On Tuesday, Movie Web shared the latest poster for the film. Check out the poster here. If you missed any of the previously released photos of information about Tom Cruise and his films, go here.
There is more news about the upcoming Mission Impossible 4 release as well. Movie goers that go to see the film when it is release to IMAX will also see a special six-minute long prologue for The Dark Knight Rises in front of it. Movie Web confirmed this news with AMC Theaters and reported on it on Tuesday.
This Dark Knight Rises prologue will appear only on 77mm IMAX screens. Mission Impossible 4 is set for release on December 16 to IMAX theaters. It will arrive five days later to regular theater screens.
This is not the first time this method of promotion has been used for this trilogy. In 2007, the beginning of The Dark Knight was shown in front of Will Smith's I Am Legend.
Fans are waiting for both The Dark Knight Rises and Mission Impossible 4 to arrive in theaters. One fan said the following on Twitter recently:
Well played Tom Cruise, well played: 'Dark Knight Rises' Prologue To Air Before 'Mission: Impossible'
