Adding to the already varied line up of avatar items, Minecraft is getting a couple more. I don't know why they can't seem to get the end game update finished, but they certainly seem able to finish money earning dlc. For 80 MP you will be able to buy a blue pig face shirt for a boy and girl avatar and you will be able to buy the new avatar pet, Ocelot the one eyed minecraft cat.
According to Play XBLA.com we are only going to have to wait a short time for this avatar pack to hit the market place. So expect it very soon.
As far as new content, there are a few things to think about.
The last update to Minecraft Xbox 360 edition was back on January 30, 2012, but it didn't include the full content of the Ender Dragon end game world addition. The new area has some of it's feature tiles in the game, only in creative mode, but many crafters are unaware that the new blocks will ultimately take you to fight the Ender Dragon.
Here are some details. The Ender Dragon area will be opened with the creation of another new portal type, this time with Ender Stones, then you must properly socket ender pearls , eyes, etc. And the portal will open. Don't enter the portal until you think you really have a chance to kill the Ender Dragon, the portal home won't open until you kill it. When it dies, loot will drop, pick it up, raid the area of any loot chests, and get out. A great bit of fun.
As a huge fan of Minecraft 360 edition, I really hope this isn't the end. I hope they come up with many more tiles and items, as well as the addition of many new enemy types. I think I can safely speak for many fans, we want Minecraft sharks, Cats, snakes, and even birds. (I don't mean Chicken ducks either.)
The PC version of Minecraft is still very full of content that we xbox 360 crafters would kill for.
To begin with, it was hinted that we would soon see Ruby, Emerald, and a few other gem and stones tile sets along with new crafting options using the minerals etc. I really hope this isn't overlooked in the next update.
So far we have no real time frame for the release of this massive update. We will keep our ear's to the tracks and let you know when we hear ANYTHING ELSE>
One big piece of news, 4J Studios confirmed on their twitter account (see https://twitter.com/4JStudios for more details) that they will finally release Jungle tile sets in the coming Tech Update. This is s great sign that promised content is still on its way.
It seems likely this is going to be a unique biome in the game, the swampy areas look great. The algae water and spanish moss vines on trees are a great addition. Can't wait, but please, We need Minecraft Bananas and monkeys.
