A new enemy has been hinted for the various versions of "Minecraft." According to a report from Gameranx on June 4, Jens Bergensten stated that he is currently working on a hostile mob for the open-world sandbox game. He hinted that it will be present during the underwater sections, although it won't be a shark, and will end up being "nasty." However, the enemy is still in development as the lead developer admitted that enemy is not doing much currently.

The new mob should be coming first to the original PC version of "Minecraft." Mojang usually updates the open-world sandbox video game on computers before 4J Studios port some of the new features to the PS3 and Xbox 360 editions. The same title update strategy should also be implemented in the upcoming "Minecraft PS4 Edition," "Minecraft Vita Edition" and "Minecraft Xbox One Edition."

The three new versions are based off of the two existing current-generation ports. As a result, players will be able to transfer their progress between the PS3 and Vita versions. The saves from "Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition" can also be transferred to "Minecraft Xbox One Edition" and from "Minecraft PS3 Edition" to "Minecraft PS4 Edition." Due to the next-generation products having bigger worlds, the same process can't be done in reverse order.

Mojang is giving some incentives for current customers to upgraded to the future versions. "Minecraft PS3 Edition" will be able to download "Minecraft Vita Edition" for free and can also pay $4.99 in order to upgrade to "Minecraft PS4 Edition." The same fee is applied to upgrading from "Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition" to "Minecraft Xbox One Edition." Without the promotion, the three products are normally priced at $19.99 each.

"Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition" came out at around two years ago while "Minecraft PS3 Edition" was first released in 2013. The aforesaid upcoming editions all have the same release month of later this Aug. in the European and North American territories.
