The next mash-up pack for Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition will transform the game so that the 4J Studios developed title will look like it belongs inside the Halo universe. After sharing new world textures, as well as giving a glimpse of the new avatar skins. PlayXBLA, the official website of Xbox Live Arcade, released new screens on May 21 showing what fans can expect the various enemies of Minecraft to look like within the new DLC for the first time.

While players will be able to use new avatars based on Master Chief and other heroes of the Halo franchise in the upcoming mash-up pack, the NPC mobs of Minecraft will also receive a make-over. The creepers, zombies, and other denizens of the game will get new skins that mimic Halo’s alien races and the flood.

The Halo Mash-up pack will allow Minecraft players to experience a world themed on the popular first-person shooter. The officially licensed add-on includes new world textures and familiar landmarks structures that were inspired by the Halo series. It has also been confirmed that the DLC will add more than 40 new avatar skins along with music from the Halo soundtrack.

This will be the third mash-up pack that 4J Studios has released for Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition. All Minecraft mash-up packs are based upon different licensed video game franchises. Previous Packs gave fans access to Minecraft worlds designed to resemble The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and the Mass Effect series, complete with redesigned user interfaces to further complete the look.

Minecraft can be downloaded from Xbox Live Arcade or purchased in stores now. The Xbox 360 version of the game was the first edition of Minecraft to be released on home consoles. Since its initial launch two years ago, 4J Studios has since released the game on the Playstation 3 as well. This year will also mark the game’s release on PS4, Xbox One, and PS Vita.
