New Mexico treasure: Forrest Fenn's The Thrill of the Chase gives clues (Video)

If you are in New Mexico, no doubt you have heard of Forrest Fenn, that multimillionaire collector who, in his golden years, wants to share some of his gold and collectibles with whomever finds the hidden treasure.

While we are not out hunting for treasure, we did find the following treasure hunter resources that might help you in your quest:

The first thing you need to do is purchase Forrest Fenn's book, The Thrill of the Chase, within his memoir, lies the clues to finding the treasure. The book can only be purchased at Santa Fe's Collected Works Bookstore, located at 202 Galisteo St. But don't run down there without checking their website. As of March 20th, they were sold out and have re-ordered the book. You can, however, order online. They will contact you as soon as the next shipment arrives.

Meanwhile, some say the clues lie within a poem from the book. That is available online. The Old Santa Fe Trading Company, representing Forrest Fenn's collections, has reprinted the full poem on their website along with an excellent list of resources relating to Forrest Fenn's treasure.

Perhaps you'll find, as I do, that the real treasure lies in the beauty of northern New Mexico. Happy hunting!
