Planning on toasting in the New Year, who isn’t (except children, of course)? While most of us don’t set out to overdo the booze, it happens and thus we wake up to a new year with killer headaches aka: hangovers.
Well one company has taken ‘Mercy’ on over-consuming revelers. Mercy Nutraceuticals, Inc., the creator of functional products for the health-conscious, has announced the debut of the Mercy Hangover Prevention Chewable Tablet, just in time for your New Year's Eve tippling. It’s a five-calorie, citrus-flavored tablet that the company claims will counter the negative effects of three to five alcoholic beverages.
“The tablets offer the same uniquely high levels of functional nutrients as in Mercy's hangover supplement,” stated a company press release. They work by encouraging the body to produce glutathione, a naturally occurring antioxidant that neutralizes toxins and enhances overall health.
"We are excited to bring the second form of Mercy to the marketplace, coinciding with New Year Eve's celebrations," said David Racicot , CEO of Mercy Nutraceuticals. "The compact and convenient nature of the tablet will make Mercy more accessible to people who demand products with observable benefits."
Mercy tablets cost $33 for a 12-pack case and are available on line at Amazon, at grocery stores, restaurants, hotels and bars in New York City, New Jersey, Florida and in additional select cities. The tablets retail for $33 for a 12-pack case.
Add a little levity to your NYE celebration by watching the video on how hangovers make people stupid, it's pretty funny.
Cheers and have a safe and happy New Year's Eve.
