Nintendo revealed new mega evolutions for Salamence, Altaria and Lopunny, as well as the introduction of new shiny mega evolutions for the upcoming “Pokemon Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby” games on their official Pokemon Channel on YouTube today.

A new gameplay trailer for the upcoming “Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire” exposed the new mega Pokemon, as well as five new cosplay outfits for Pikachu- Rock Star, Pop Star, Ph.D, Belle and Libre, all which come with their own special moves.

Nintendo also announced in the video that gamers will be able to obtain a shiny Beldum for “Pokemon Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby” on Nov. 21 that will hold a mega stone and evolve into a shiny Mega Metagross.

While no stat updates are yet available for the mega-evolved Pokemon, said that mega Altaria will have the ability to Pixilate, turning Normal-type attacks into Fairy-types, while Lopunny will gain the fighting Fighting type and the Scrappy ability, which will allow it to hit Ghost-type Pokemon.

Although there isn't any news on how Salaence's mega evolution will change the way the pocket monster play, to the satisfaction of many gamers, the design of the new mega evolution for Salamence is not the "tadpole" one that was leaked earlier this week on Kotaku.

“Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire” is set for a November 21 release on the Nintendo 3DS and 2DS handheld video game consoles.
