New Media Expo is more than a warmup before CES

New Media Expo is right around the corner, so we need to look at what to expect as a lineup of over 170 business and new media leaders will be presenting at 2013's New Media Expo, the first and only industry-wide tradeshow, conference and media event for content creators; and BusinessNext Social, the world's premier conference for social business, marketing and IT executives. Featured speakers in 2013 include venture capitalists Cameron & Tyler Winkelvoss and Alltop.com Founder Guy Kawasaki , who join keynoter Ultimate Fighting Championship President Dana White .

Record attendance is expected for the conferences opening January 6, 2013 in Las Vegas, just prior to the Consumer Electronics Show. Passes are available starting at $77 at http://nmxlive.com/2013-lv/registration, including an All Access package that assures admission to every presentation at both conferences.

The agendas for NMX and BusinessNext Social embody the mix of newsworthy announcements and thought leadership that have made them the conferences of choice for new media content creators and forward-looking marketers. Highlights include:
Cameron and Tyler Winkelvoss , whose story was immortalized in the award-winning 2011 film The Social Network, will discuss the future of social communities and announce a new investment in social networks.

Lin Humphrey, Jr. , Mobile Marketing Association's 2011 Global Mobile Marketing Academic of the Year, will release surprising research on the psychoprofile of today's connected consumer, including social and mobile marketing best to encourage consumers to express themselves about their personal lives.

Backplane CEO/Founder Matt Michelsen , the architect of Lady Gaga's Little Monsters, one of the largest and most active digital fan communities, will talk about creating a new social web corridor backed by brands to unite people around interests, affinities and movements.

Leo Laporte , the founder and host of TWiT.tv, will keynote and also host the 8th annual Podcasting Awards. I'm looking forward to hear what Leo has to say, as he's always positive in his message, but is not afraid to "tell it like it is."

Other speakers slated to appear include Jay Baer , President, Convince & Convert; Vala Afshar , CMO & Chief Customer Officer, Enterasys Networks; Jeff Ragovin , Chief Strategy Officer, Salesforce Marketing Cloud; and Ann Handley , Chief Content Officer, MarketingProfs. A complete list is available at http://nmxlive.com/2013-lv/speakers/

BlogWorld CEO and Co-Founder Rick Calvert said, "We couldn't be happier with our incredible lineup of speakers that brings together content and commerce thought leaders from new media and marketing. NMX's agenda addresses offers essential advice for bringing bloggers, podcasters and web video creators to bring their business to the next level, while BusinessNext attendees will have a rare opportunity to hear from an impressive group of marketing leaders that has never been assembled anywhere else. This year's event strengthens our conferences' positions as the must-attend shows for anyone interested in the intersection of digital content and commerce."

New Media Expo is sponsored by premium brands such as: Ford Motor Company, .ME, Group High, WordPress, U.S. Army, Overblog, Technorati, Simul-TV, TechZulu, SAG/AFTRA, Social Radius, Ustream, PR Newswire, NewTek, Stickam and more.

You don't have to be going to CES to attend New Media Expo, but they compliment each other, and it should be said that New Media Expo is more than a warmup act to the monster that CES usually is.
