Recently, Ricky's NYC at 39th and Broadway celebrated the grand opening of their Manic Panic Color Asylum Salon. Located in the rear of the store, this salon is an innovative concept that gears towards clients who seek funky and vivid hair color and styles. In true Manic Panic fashion, the salon includes sparkly floors, bright colored chairs and of course fun makeup and hair products from the brand.
Along with the grand opening of Manic Panic's first-ever salon, the brand celebrated their 37th anniversary and Ricky's NYC celebrated their 25th birthday. The event brought together New York City's brightest characters and top stylist. DJ Lady Bree provided dance tunes and Brooklyn Bakery provided tasty cupcakes for the festivities, as attendees sipped wine and mingled.
Decked out in larger-than-life colorful clip-in extensions with strands of Christmas lights around their tiaras, Manic Panic's founders Tish and Snooky, were on-hand for the ribbon cutting (of course with large glittery scissors) with celebrity stylist and "King of Color", David Scissor Hands. The sisters exclaimed how excited they were to be collaborating with Ricky's NYC and being a staple in the beauty industry for almost 40 years.
The Manic Panic Color Asylum Salon is open Tuesdays thru Saturdays and offers everything from cuts to color to weaves and lash applications. All Manic Panic products are gentle to the hair, contain no animal by-products and are "tested on celebrities. not animals.".
The Manic Panic Salon is located at Ricky’s NYC on 1412 Broadway. (212)-768-1175
