XL Airways France, a low-cost carrier, will offer three nonstop flights a week between Miami and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport starting May 25. The seasonal service on a Airbus A330-300, lasts until Aug. 29.
Spanish airline Air Europa, will start flying between Miami and Madrid on June 4. Flights will be three times a week on an Airbus A330-200. Until Aug. 17, the plane will arrive at MIA, fly round-trip to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic and then leave Miami for Madrid.
Norwegian Air Shuttle, which started serving Ft Lauderdale in November from Copenhagen and Stockholm, will add new service to London's Gatwick Airport starting in July 2014 with introductory fares as low as $240 each way. Passengers will fly onboard the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Norwegians new London service will offer passengers 2 weekly flights.
According to the MIA/FLL tourism committee, the new services will bring as many as 3,100 visitors to South Florida every week.
