*New* LOST S6 poster revealed by ABC

*New* LOST Season 6 poster.  Source:  ABC

ABC has released the first "official" LOST poster promoting Season 6.  Now I know what you're thinking ... we've seen this before.  But take a closer look.  Compared to the Comic-Con release, this picture is a little cleaner, the character placement is no longer in a straight line, and some even appear in different poses or different positions altogether.  Also gone are the hieroglyphics in "The Final Season" text.  Perhaps in response to public outcry over the previous version, Vincent the dog also returns in this release!  Alas, Walt is still missing.  Is this a sign that the character of Walt will also be missing from the final season?

The LOST team always has a purpose. ALWAYS. So do you think that the placement of some of the characters is important. Yes, it could have been done solely to save space, but I'm curious as to why some people are in the background and others are featured more prominently in the foreground. For example, we hear that Libby won't be returning in season 6, so it makes sense that she shows up as smaller in the background. But Claire will (and is rumored to be appearing in every episode), yet she's also in the background, while people like Michael (who hasn't been confirmed as returning) is in the foreground. Perhaps I am putting way too much thought into this.

A closer view of the new line-up.

So what do you think?  Does the fact that this poster is deemed "official" make it spoiler-worthy?  As Darlton promised, there are no new images -- but does the photo give clues away regardless?  Some characters look as they did during early episodes -- especially Hurley -- while others look older and more weathered -- like Bernard.  Could that be symbolic of who makes it to LA X, and who doesn't?  Your guess is as good as mine.  But I find it curious that 'the powers that be' would go to the trouble of creating two different versions of the same promotional piece for no reason.  Draw your own conclusions, brutha.  LOST returns in January 2010.
