New look for Denver yoga studios Warrior Academy and Mudra Yoga Studio

In actuality, neither Warrior Academy nor Mudra Yoga Studio is new. Warrior Academy has moved from its previous location at Vital Yoga into its own space. Mudra Yoga Studio is a re-branding and remodeling of Pearl Street Yoga.

Warrior Academy Yoga (WAY) is Denver yoga teacher and ordained minister Scott Anderson’s take on Power Yoga. “At Warrior Academy Yoga (WAY) we believe in challenging, intelligent yoga. We offer the Denver yoga community a fresh new choice in yoga classes, yoga teacher trainings, yoga retreats, and workshops. We are deeply committed to providing unparalleled instruction and empowerment through our unique style of vinyasa yoga. Beyond the intense work we do on the mat, our goal is to help yoga students lead more empowered lives, and to embrace the opportunity to be of service to the world. Our motto is simple. A warrior is more than just a pose.”

Scott Anderson taught his last class at Vital Yoga on October 31, 2012 and moved Warrior Academy to its new Denver location at 2828 N. Speer, near the lower Highlands neighborhood. The studio is offering two to three classes daily, including “The Nooner-All levels vinyasa flow” on weekdays. Other class offerings include WAY Tough, WAY Core, WAY Flow and WAY Calm. The website promises Anderson’s classes to be a "mosh pit of mindfulness."

The Warrior Academy also offers a 200-hour vinyasa and power yoga teacher training certification program that begins in March and includes an iPad.

Mudra Yoga Studio, formerly Pearl Street Yoga, focuses primarily on Flow All Levels classes but offers “Early Bird Yin,” Gentle Flow, Fusion, Prenatal, Fundamentals and Restorative yoga classes as well. Mudra Yoga currently offers four to seven classes daily. The studio offerings also include workshops, such as the “Off the Mat, Into the World” series beginning on January 26.

Mudra Yoga Studio is owned by Tracey Lanham and Heather Lindemann, who met as kindergarteners over 35 years ago and established Pearl Street Yoga in 1996. Lanham and Lindemann’s mission at the studio is “to make yoga accessible and approachable for anyone while also offering an opportunity for a deep, transformative experience. . .We believe yoga is a journey, not just a physical practice, but an opportunity to find your own truth and light.“ Mudra Yoga Studio is located at 1550 S. Pearl Street in Denver.
