More information has been released for Knack, Sony's PlayStation 4 launch title. The official PlayStation magazine gave new details regarding some important characters and abilities earlier today, including some of the various forms that Knack can assume during his journey. The game will also feature roughly 90 minutes of fully mo-capped cinematic cutscenes which will feature some 'familiar' voice talent, though we're not sure as to whom.
Knack was created by a character simply referred to as 'Doctor', who also raised Knack's young best friend, an orphan boy named Lucas. Knack is made up of relics that were discovered by Viktor, a billionaire industrialist who has gained his fortune by mining relics that give off electrical energy. Viktor is accompanied by Katrina, a tough young woman who acts as his head of security. The final main character detailed is Ryder, Lucas' uncle, who fans may remember as the blond adventurer from the original trailer.
As for Knack himself, he is able to grow in size, becoming 3, 6, 15 or 30 feet tall with the aid of Viktor's relics. He can also use other materials, such as ice, which lets him grow but has the downside of melting after a short time. Metal makes him stronger and more durable, but has the added affect of making him magnetic, which we imagine could either help or hinder the player. Wood apparently lets Knack achieve one of his biggest sizes, but can catch fire, which players may have to take advantage of in certain areas.
Knack is currently scheduled to release alongside the PlayStation 4 on November 15th.
