Sony and Killzone Shadow Fall developer Guerrilla have posted new video to both the PlayStation Blog and Killzone official site. The video is download only footage of the multiplayer mode, to show off the full resolution and frame rate that Killzone will be capable of.
Guerrilla stated their reasoning for directly providing downloads of the video,
In order to properly demonstrate the framerate and resolution we achieve in Shadow Fall’s multiplayer, we’ve captured and lightly compressed new footage that we’re not offering through a video sharing service.
The 1:14 video clocks in at a 544MB file from the Killzone site, and features a multiplayer match on a map titled “The Park” which is mentioned as being from the single player campaign and being behind enemy lines. The action is clearly at a high fidelity and framerate, and features the typical multiplayer fare in the way of assault rifle and melee kills, and a capture the flag style mode titled "Beacon Theft".
The posts on the Playstation Blog and the Killzone page were written by Michiel van der Leeuw, Technical Director from Guerrilla, and clearly displayed the pride the studio feels in their title,
We’re very pleased with how well the game runs, and we can’t wait for you to play it come November 15th.
