New Kids on the Block are coming back to Denver (Video)

For the third time since they reunited in 2008, New Kids on the Block (NKOTB) are returning to the Denver area in concert. Jonathan Knight, Jordan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg and Danny Wood will be performing at the 1st Bank Center on July 16, 2013. Their amazing guests for “The Package: North American Tour” are Boyz II Men and 98 Degrees.

Beginning in 1984, the five members of NKOTB were brought together in Boston and began the rise to stardom. With the release of “Please Don’t Go Girl” in 1988, from their second album “Hanging Tough”, NKOTB became a household name. With eight top ten hits in the United States, the band sold out shows nationwide and made girls swoon all over the world.

After their breakup in 1995, fans would do anything to get them back together. Many tried and failed. MTV attempted to reunite the group for the “Video Music Awards” is 1999 and VH1 attempted in 2004 on their show “Bands Reunited”. Neither attempt was successful. Then in 2008, the band announced that they were back together, releasing new music and going on tour. The first single released “Summertime” became a top 40 hit in the United States.

Now about to release their new album “10”, New Kids on the Block is touring with 98 Degrees and Boyz II Men. The tour is highly anticipated by fans and the album is due out on April 2. In addition to their new music, it was announced recently that NKOTB will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2013.
