Movie fans in Scottsdale are waiting for the release of John Carter starring Taylor Kitsch. On Monday, Collider shared several new photos from the film. Check out the photos here. If you missed any of the previously released photos or spoilers for this film, go here.
This film will feature Taylor Kitsch in a starring role. After five seasons on television with Friday Night Lights, the actor is breaking away from television and focusing on the big screen. He did have a smaller role in X-Men: Wolverine as Gambit, but he has two large film roles set for release in the months ahead in Battleship and John Carter. The latter mention being the first of his films up for release in 2012. He spoke about the production of the film and the training regimen he had to take on to be in shape in a recent interview. He said the following, according to The Washington Post:
“It’s the most boring diet you could think of, really, it was four months before and seven months during, so an eleven-month regimen with that. Good times. Training at 4:30 in the morning before you go to work, and then training for the four months before as well. And then during the day, you’re training as well before takes.”
Fans were given another glimpse of the film during the Super Bowl with a new trailer, and those that played in that game were given the chance to screen the final product with their families as well. This means that the film is out of post-production and ready for theatrical release.
Fans are buzzing about this film on social media. One fan said the following on Twitter recently:
I'm only seeing #JohnCarter because Taylor Kitsch is in it and he's very fun to look at and all.
Scottsdale residents will be able to see John Carter at the Harkins Shea 14 or another local theater in the area when the film is released on March 9.
