I just started a new job within the past month or so and while it is taking me a little while longer than I would like to catch onto everything. I have to say I am so happy that I made the move. In the past I have written about how it is scary to move on and how change can often hold us back. It is easy to sit at home and be miserable, it is harder to pick yourself up and do the work to make yourself happier. Only YOU can change; you cannot change everybody else.
I remember when I was finishing up my two weeks at my old job and I was helping a customer who was complaining about his job and how he has n o time to find anything new and I kept thinking, if you are that unhappy, you MAKE the time to find something new. I had what I would like to call a “last straw incident” at my job and went home that same night and started looking for jobs and enlisted my friends to help as well. The next day one of my friends told me about a position, I went home on my lunch break and applied and received a response that same day.
Talk about DIVINE intervention!
I interviewed for that some position within a week and am now happily muddling my way through. While this is still not my ideal job or career, I have to say the different environment and people are a breath of fresh air. Yes, it could have been easier to stick with what I knew and just dealt with it but I have to share with you all, IT HAS BEEN SO WORTH IT TO MOVE ON. The unknown is scary and sure, I am nervous but that will subside. It is better to be nervous than to feel like you are going to die of a heart attack at age 26. God will not give you anything you cannot handle and when you are at your breaking point, He WILL open a window for you to jump out of!
