New Jersey Thoroughbred horse breeders stallion season auction to begin Jan. 17

The Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association of New Jersey (TBANJ) will conduct its 2014 online stallion season auction beginning at noon on Friday, January 17 through noon on Monday, January 20. Seasons will be offered for stallions not only from New Jersey but also from Kentucky, Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania and Florida.

Extra bonuses for breeders and stallion owners

As part of the auction a $10,000 bonus will be awarded to the breeder and stallion owner of the first horse to win a stakes race from all of the seasons sold at the stallion auction. If the foal is a registered New Jersey-bred, the bonus will increase to $15,000 for the breeder and stallion owner.

The list of available seasons can be viewed at the New Jersey Thoroughbred Breeders web page at www.nj The list will be updated until the auction begins.
