Jennalin Garcia-Calle, 28, was arrested in Florida for allegedly having a romantic relationship with her 16-year-old student a few times in her classroom.
This algebra teacher then fled New Jersey and traveled to Florida. And once she discovered others were aware of the crime she committed, Garcia-Calle checked herself into a “rehabilitation center that focuses on psychiatric and sexual impulsivity issues.”
Garcia-Calle also allegedly asked the 16-year-old to delete incriminating text messages she had sent to him.
However, U.S. Marshals detained her on Thursday in Davie Florida, charging Garcia-Calle with “second-degree sexual assault and fourth-degree child abuse.”
According to authorities, this teacher supposedly had intercourse with her 16-year-old male student more than three times in her classroom.
“The relationship began in December, according to authorities, who became aware of the situation after the student told family members and friends about what had happened.”
