The New Jersey Girls of TV fame are going to get a makeover.
Coming east from Arizona, the Miraval resort at Natirar promises a whole new spa experience.
Just as the original Miraval near Tuscon has been a haven for those looking to open their mind and soul, find balance, and change their life for the better, the new Miraval in New Jersey will set guests on a path to real self-improvement and life change.
Located less than an hour from Manhattan, 70 minutes from Philadelphia, Natirar retains the bucolic image that attracted previous owners Sir Richard Branson and the king of Morocco.
When complete, Miraval at Natirar will boast a luxury hotel with suites in Natirar's historic 1912 mansion, a state-of-the-art spa, wellness pavilion, yoga center, and spa restaurant featuring Miraval spa cuisine. Like the Arizona location, this expansion will offer signature Miraval activities, nutritional counseling, and wellness workshops, as well as innovative spa treatments. But the East Coast resort will add seasonal sports and activities year-round, including cross-country skiing and gardening.
Natirar originated as a private estate on more than 500 acres of rolling farmland in Northern New Jersey. Now open to the public as a state park, the centerpiece will be the Miraval mansion, spa resort, and gardens.
Capitalizing on the currently open Ninety Acres Culinary Center, with its organic garden, wine school, and event space, Miraval at Natirar promises to be a major destination for food lovers. Which is only natural, since owners Steve and Jean Case have become winemakers at their vineyard in Virginia.
The restaurant at Ninety Acres is a blend of country chic and traditional elegance. Built into former stables, the high-ceiling dining room glitters with fine crystal and crisp linen. Diners can take home produce from the estate greenhouses and, in season, fresh fruit.
And learn to cook with the professionals. In a copper-and-grantite exhibition kitchen adjacent to the restaurant, visiting chefs teach three-hour cooking classes on topics like "Puff Pastry Sweet and Savory," and "Gastronomic Grill." Downstairs in a temperature-controlled wine cellar, claases are conducted by winemakers.

Scheduled to open at the end of 2015, Miraval at Natirar will offer 76 rooms in the main mansion, plus two guest cottages. There will be a Clains skincare and nail salon, and outdoor swimming pool. Learn more at www.miravalresorts.com.
