According to Tuesday's Asbury Park Press, a Lakewood, N.J., family's stolen pit bull puppy has been returned.

Nobody is certain how seven-month-old "Finley's" return home was made possible - he simply showed up on Saturday afternoon at the gate to his yard wearing a leash and collar that his family had not seen before.

Finley disappeared when someone broke into the East County Line Road on April 3 - the thief snatched the pup, some beer and a phone.

According to the police, Finley was in "good condition" when he arrived back home. The investigation into this case is ongoing - anyone with information is asked to contact the authorities at 732-363-0200, ext. 5317.
