New Jersey Devils forward, Rostislav Olesz, was placed on waivers by the Devils on Monday afternoon following back-to-back shutout losses over the weekend.
Olesz, 28, signed a one-year deal with the New Jersey Devils on July 5. Olesz appeared in 10-games for New Jersey where he registered two assists while playing limited minutes.
This may be the first shoe to drop for the Devils who are scoreless in their last seven periods of play and have been outscored this season by opponents, 26-42. Seasoned veteran Jaromir Jagr continues to lead the Devils with 10 points while Adam Henrique has pitched in with just five.
The Devils have the day off today after playing Saturday and Sunday night. Their next game will be Thursday night at the Wells Fargo Center to take on the Philadelphia Flyers.
