Wasn't there just a big celebration from Apple and iPhone fans for the new iPhone 5? Well move over iPhone 5 because soon you will be old news! That's right, in the technology field your 15 minutes of fame come and go quickly.
According to the International Design Times on Mar. 4, the new iPhone release date has been reported by AppleInsider as being August 2013. If this release date rumor is true it makes perfect sense.
Why not release a new iPhone right before the kid's head back to school and the shopping season is on the horizon? Along with the new rumored date, it's also being reported that there may be two models to choose from.
IDT reports "Apple may be preparing to release two models of the iPhone in August. One will be the iPhone 5S (an update to the iPhone 5 in the same vein as the iPhone 4S was to the iPhone 4). The other will be a less expensive iPhone model that is targeted to the Chinese market."
One thing that may draw phone shoppers towards the new iPhone 5S could be the price. It's being reported that the new phone could be as low as $350, which is almost half of the current $650 price.
Spring is right around the corner, but fans of the iPhone and Apple products can't wait until fall.
