New iPhone 5 release date rumors: Apple event for iPhone 5, iPad mini release

It looks like the iPhone 5 release date may soon be announced. An article from earlier today says Apple is reportedly planning an event for mid September. Could it be the technology giant is finally ready to unveil the new iPhone 5? Appleites hope this is the case, but so far it is not clear if Apple is actually planning an event in September.

An article at Web Pro News says "Apple is planning to debut the iPhone 5 at an event on Wednesday, September 12," and goes on to say their source states "the iPhone 5 will then be released on September 21." If this iPhone 5 rumor is true, it would confirm earlier information which suggested the 6th generation Apple smartphone would debut in September rather than October.

Much to the annoyance of iPhone lovers everywhere, all information related to the iPhone 5 release date is currently pure speculation. However September does seem more realistic a time-frame than earlier gossip which slated the new iOS 6 gadget to hit shelves in early August. It would be nice if this iPhone 5 release rumor proves true, because it would allow all the iPhone fanatics to snap up their devices early, yet still give Apple enough time to replenish their stock before the Christmas shopping season.

Besides the iPhone 5 release date announcement, the rumored event is supposedly going to showcase Apple device -- the new iPad Mini.

Consumers can learn more about new Apple products online, or at their local Apple Store.
